Terms and license
1. Introduction
These terms govern the use of the NoiseWall program and its modules, developed by NOISE ARTILLERY s. r. o. ("we"). By downloading, installing or using the program you agree to them. The Slovak version of these terms prevails.
2. The NoiseWall program
- NoiseWall is free. You may use it on any number of your own computers, at home and at work.
- You may not sell, rent or distribute the program in a modified form. You may only distribute the unmodified, digitally signed installer from this website.
- The program, its name, logo and guide are protected by copyright and belong to NOISE ARTILLERY s. r. o.
3. Modules
- Some modules are free (for example LAN Chat), others are paid. The price is shown in the program (Module marketplace) and on the Modules page.
- Paid modules are sold by our reseller Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which is the seller of record for the purchase: it processes the payment, collects tax and issues the receipt. The purchase is also subject to the Creem terms.
- By buying a module you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it in NoiseWall on the number of computers stated for the module. A module is bought once and the license is permanent. Fixes and improvements of the module are free, and your data in the module is kept when it is updated.
- The license is linked to the e-mail you paid with. Right after payment NoiseWall receives it from our licensing service as a digitally signed file and downloads the signed module from this website. After reinstalling your computer, or on a new computer, you restore the module free of charge in the app (Restore purchases – e-mail and a one-time code). The number of computers on which a module can be active at the same time is stated for the module; a computer you no longer use can be released in the app.
- A module is digital content delivered immediately after payment. Before payment we ask for your express consent to delivery starting before the withdrawal period ends; under consumer protection law you thereby lose the right to withdraw from the contract. We nevertheless voluntarily offer refunds as described on the Refunds page.
4. What NoiseWall does and does not do
NoiseWall is a firewall: it blocks network connections of programs you have not allowed. It aims for maximum protection, but no security software can guarantee protection against every threat. We recommend also using an up-to-date Windows and an antivirus. How NoiseWall works and what it does on its own is described in the guide.
5. Liability and complaints
- We are liable for defects of the program and the modules to the extent set by the laws of the Slovak Republic; your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
- The program is free, so to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damage (for example lost profit or data loss) caused by using it.
- Report a defect or complaint to noiseartillery@gmail.com. We handle it without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest.
6. Personal data
How we handle personal data is described on the Privacy page. In short: NoiseWall sends nothing about you and has no account.
7. Final provisions
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection the law of your country of residence gives you.
- We may change these terms; the new version is published on this page with its effective date. A purchase is governed by the version in effect at the time of purchase.
- The supervisory authority and dispute resolution options are listed on the Contact page.
