Modules
Modules add features to NoiseWall. You find them in the app in the left menu under Module marketplace, and they open right in the NoiseWall window.
LAN Chat
Short text messages between the computers of your group in the local network – right in the NoiseWall window. Encrypted with the group code (AES-256-GCM), no server, no account, never over the internet. The last 500 messages of each group stay stored, encrypted, only on your computer.
Network map
See every device in your local network and the path to the internet.
Hardware audit
An overview of your group's computers – with everyone's consent.
Time rules
Allow an app to use the network only at certain times.
Data usage monitor
How much data each app sends and receives.
How modules are bought
You buy paid modules right in the NoiseWall app (Module marketplace → Buy). A secure payment page of our reseller Creem opens; it processes the payment and issues the receipt – card details never pass through NoiseWall or us. The purchase is linked to the e-mail you pay with, and NoiseWall downloads and installs the module right away. Prices are final, including VAT. You pay for a module only once and one purchase is for one computer (for another computer you buy it again – modules are cheap): updates are free, and after reinstalling your computer you restore it in the app with Restore purchases – enter your e-mail and the code sent to it. No password, no payment. You move it to another computer with Release this computer on the old one; if you no longer have it, free it from the new one – at most once in 30 days.
When you buy, NoiseWall sends our licensing service only the module id and a random installation number – never your name, the computer name or anything about your files and connections; while you use the module it connects nowhere. Exactly what is sent and stored, and when, is in the privacy policy; the step-by-step guide is in the user guide.
What a module may do
Every module is a separate, digitally signed program of NOISE ARTILLERY s. r. o. It runs with the rights of the signed-in user, never inside the firewall, cannot change rules or settings, and may use the network only as you approve when installing it. Before installing, NoiseWall shows you exactly what the module may do and what it adds for it.
